Bad Apples by Will Dean

5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I should have known better. I will learn from this. Next time I pick up a Will Dean book I will think to myself ‘What fresh hell will be unleashed into my mind and am I ready for it?‘.

It’s my own fault isn’t it, after The Last Thing to Burn I only have myself to blame for going back for more.

Bad Apples is one of a series of books featuring deaf reporter Tuva Moodyson and in my opinion the series has got better and tighter with every book.

This is a series like no other and I can only assume that TV companies are arguing among themselves over who will win the rights to produce it. I for one cannot wait to see the depravity, the heart stopping fear, the bleakness and vulnerability of anyone caught in the pine trees and as for the shenanigans from pan night, well.

I won’t be watching the bit in the train carriage though. Nope. No thanks. As I should have remembered from The Last Thing to Burn, Will Dean is a bad bad man!

Albeit a seriously brilliant writer.

Blurb: It only takes one…

A murder

A resident of small-town Visberg is found decapitated

A festival

A cultish hilltop community ‘celebrates’ Pan Night after the apple harvest
