Witness 8 by Steve Cavanagh

5 Stars from me

I absolutely love the Eddie Flynn series and have listened to the majority of them on Audible largely because of the excellent delivery of them by Adam Sim who completely brings Eddie Fly and co to life.

Steve Cavanagh has created a deeply likeable character in Eddie Flynn and is exceptional at making even bit players within his books feel like well rounded individuals. Back stories are hand crafted to be engaging, and the million side stories are all as compelling as the main story.

So much to praise in this book – there are hooks galore making this a very hard book to put down. Eddie and his loyal crew just get better with every incarnation and their own lives, loves and dramas feel like a natural part of the story. There are some other notable superb characters in Witness 8, not least of which is Mr Christmas.

I loved this book and cannot recommended it, and the rest of the series, highly enough. I hope the author has a few more Eddie books in him and I could easily see this series ending up as a TV series.
