A Fatal Silence by Rachel Amphlett

4 Stars from me

A crime thriller with a wayward goat is about as good as it gets, right?

I really enjoyed the premise of this book, with a dead girl found at a music festival meaning that there were a myriad of potential killers in the mix.

Kay and her team are called in to investigate the brutal murder of a young woman at a music festival. What seems ambiguous at first, with the victim last seen at a nearby hotel, soon becomes a web of intrigue.

There is soon a whole lot more to the investigation when a deeper layer of intrigue, relating to the festival, is revealed.

This was a great crime thriller with so much at play and I really enjoyed it. I could totally see this as an episode of Midsomer Murders – overall a really enjoyable crime thriller!

My thanks to the author and Zooloos Book Tours for an ARC in return for an honest review.

Blurb: When the body of a young woman is discovered at an outdoor music festival, Detective Kay Hunter’s investigation stalls almost as soon as it starts.

Amidst a media backlash, and faced with thousands of potential suspects, Kay must piece together the last hours of the woman’s life before her killer can escape.

But when Kay finds out the truth, her discovery will shake her investigation team to its core…
