Oh I enjoyed this book so much and would have given it more stars for entertainment if that didn’t defeat the purpose somewhat as the entertainment for me came from the appalling and frequent typos, the fact that one of the suspects and one of the detectives swapped names for a period of the book and that if Peter Robinson came to the publishing world today as a new writer with this book he would be met with a wall of rejection letters.
I intended to work my way through the early Peter Robinson ‘Banks’ novels however on the strength of this one I think I’ll stick with the newer, more polished ones!
Genuinely entertaining though, I don’t think I’ve ever read a book with so many spelling mistakes and clangers as this one!
