Oh wow! So good!
One White Lie is just brilliant – if you love a psychological thriller you will love this book! Fans of having your head messed with (think Gone Girl) will LOVE One White Lie.
Vera and John – I’d love to be friends with those guys, the idyllic relationship that Lucy had with them was the stuff of dreams. It was like she just totally landed on her feet with the perfect place, her lovely dog, V&J as ace neighbours, Maggie as a dog walking chum and being made so welcome in the local cafe. Perfect, right?
Chuck in an abusive ex, a small amount of mystery surrounding your new best friends, visits from their ex-best friend and a tonne of alcohol and things start to get murky.
Policeman on a mission, McKnight, was great too – I’d have confessed within about 20 minutes!
Great storyline, shocks a plenty and a superfast addictive read.
I loved it!
Blurb: Imagine you’ve finally escaped the worst relationship of your life, running away with only a suitcase and a black eye.
Imagine your new next-door neighbours are the friends you so desperately needed – fun, kind, empathetic, very much in love.
Imagine they’re in trouble. That someone is telling lies about them, threatening their livelihoods – and even their lives.
Imagine your ex is coming for you.
If your new best friends needed you to tell one small lie, and all of these problems would disappear, you’d do it, wouldn’t you?
It’s only one small lie, until someone turns up dead.
