It’s Detective Gavin Piper’s time to shine, although we do get the odd glimpse of DI Kay Hunter!
The Cold Shore delves into the murky world of people trafficking with a different take on the usual practice and Gavin and his team need to stay on top of the situation before more people lose their lives. Feelings of imposter syndrome run deep Gavin as this is his first time leading an investigation and it isn’t a simple one.
Luckily, he’s not only pretty good at it but he has a great team behind him too and they work well together to unravel the mystery of the murder victims who appear, brutally killed and with no ID or easily identifiable reason for their killing. When a key witness is also found dead, this fast becomes a case that would challenge even the most experienced detectives.
This is an accomplished and well paced crime thriller that I am sure all fans of the genre will enjoy.
