Murder at the Crooked Horse by Lesley Cookman

This cute as a button amateur detective story put me firmly in mind of the Agatha Raisin series – which I absolutely loved!

I read this as a standalone book and was blown away to discover that this is actually the 27th book in the series! While it was evident that the characters were established, at no point did I feel like I was missing back story – superbly well done.

Overall, this cosy crime masterpiece was a delightful read that fans of the genre will adore. My thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources, Lesley Cookman and Headline for letting me be a part of this blog tour.

Blurb: After learning of a suspicious attempt to burn down a beloved old pub, The Crooked Horse, Libby Sarjeant and her friend Fran reluctantly agree to investigate.
