The Chalet by Catherine Cooper

4 Stars from me

I loved this glimpse into the skiing world – having never been I am now starting to see the appeal!

I enjoyed the story of the 2 brothers and their girlfriends – right up until a certain moment anyway – it was brilliantly portrayed and I was hooked. The snow, the cold, the feeling like an imposter in a world that you could never fit into, the arrogance of Adam – all brilliantly described.

There are other threads at play and these add together to muddy the waters leaving you grasping at gossamer threads trying to work out who is simply a guest and who has an ulterior motive.

Blurb: Four friends. One luxury getaway. The perfect murder.

French Alps, 1998

Two young men ski into a blizzard… but only one returns.

20 years later

Four people connected to the missing man find themselves in that same resort. Each has a secret. Two may have blood on their hands. One is a killer-in-waiting.

Someone knows what really happened that day.

And somebody will pay.
